Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Finance System Reporting Analyst / BI Developer on a 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. The role collaborates with Finance and Operational teams to deliver analytical reports and Tableau dashboards, supporting data-driven decisions.

You will extract data via SQL and Power Query, assess data quality, and maintain a suite of standard reports while contributing to ad hoc analytics for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Three years experience as a reporting analyst / BI Developer.
• Hands-on experience in data warehousing (SSMS).
• Experience with SQL Server and SSRS (Visual Studio).
• Experience with writing moderately complex SQL queries for data retrieval.
• Tableau for design and maintenance of dashboards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a ticketing system for report requests from stakeholders.
• Extraction of key management information using SQL and Power Query.
• Assess data quality and reasonableness of information produced.
• Design, amend and maintain SQL queries for reporting and data extraction.

This leading Professional Services company require a Finance System Reporting Analyst / BI Developer on a 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. The role with work closely with the Finance and Operational teams to provide analytical reports and visualisation / dashboarding in Tableau. Reporting to the Finance Business Manager, you will work with internal stakeholders across departments and also assess current reporting and analytics capabilities across the firm to seek improvements or efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a support ticketing system for report requests from stakeholders within the business.
• Extraction of key management information and data internal systems using SQL and Power Query
• Critical assessment of information produced for reasonableness and data quality/ accuracy
• Designing, amending and keeping up to date a variety of SQL queries that drive systematic reporting on a number of platforms alongside ad hoc reporting and data extraction.
• Defining and maintaining a catalogue of standard reports to use as a reference for future requests and to identify gaps in current information
• Support the Finance Business Manager in maintaining suite of management reports on the firm's reporting platform Tableau
• Support the Head of Finance and Finance Business Manager with ad hoc analytical tasks
• Communicate the results of data analysis in written and verbal form to stakeholders.
