Job summary

1KOMMA5° Commercial Solutions GmbH in London seeks a Senior Finance Business Partner for Drug Design and Development, hybrid role requiring three days in the office. You will provide strategic financial leadership across research programmes and assets, guiding budgeting, forecasting and decision-support.

You will build NPV and risk-adjusted models, work with Portfolio Steering Team and Business Development, and collaborate with procurement during RFPs.

Qualifications

• Experience managing R&D or drug-development FP&A or business partnering in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals or life sciences.
• Strong financial modelling for portfolio prioritisation and project NPV analysis.
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or another quantitative discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA desirable.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary finance partner for the Drug Design and Development team and provide strategic support for portfolio objectives.
• Manage financial activity associated with drug development from discovery through preclinical testing.
• Lead the end-to-end budgeting, forecasting and resource-planning process for the relevant work.
• Provide financial decision support to the Portfolio Steering Team for programme and asset choices.
• Build project-level net present value and risk-adjusted valuation models to inform pipeline prioritisation.
• Work with Business Development on the economics of biopharma partnerships, licensing arrangements and milestones.
• Partner with External Research and Procurement during RFP activity to evaluate, benchmark and negotiate vendor budgets.
• Deliver variance analysis, improve financial reporting workflows and oversee efficient accrual processes as the portfolio develops.
