Job summary

AWD online is seeking a Finance Assistant / Stock Controller in Hyde, Greater Manchester. The role blends finance support, stock control, and improvement work in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

You will assist with reporting, reconciliations, audits and inventory activity, liaising with production, purchasing and warehouse teams to boost stock accuracy and support ERP BOM tasks.

Qualifications

• This role requires finance, accounts or stock control experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong Excel and analytical capabilities are essential.
• Excellent organisation and time management with cross-department communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Financial Controller’s diary, deadlines and meetings.
• Prepare reports, analyses, and supporting documentation for month-end/year-end.
• Improve stock accuracy through collaboration with production, purchasing and warehouse teams.
• Assist with BOM/ERP-related tasks and inventory reconciliations.
• Support audits and provide information to auditors when required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across finance and operations.
