Job summary

AWD online is seeking a Finance Assistant / Stock Controller in a hands-on manufacturing setting in Greater Manchester. The role combines finance support, stock accuracy and business improvement, with collaboration across production, purchasing and warehouse teams.

You will help improve stock accuracy, support ERP BOMs, coordinate information, and contribute to ad hoc projects and continuous improvement within a busy operation.

Qualifications

• Experience in finance, accounts, stock control or manufacturing.
• Strong Excel and analytical abilities.
• Excellent organisation and time management.
• Confident communication across multiple departments.
• Proactive, meticulous and detail-oriented approach.
• Comfortable working in office and factory floor.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Team-oriented with cross-business collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Diary and deadline coordination for the Financial Controller.
• Finance query support as first point of contact.
• Prepare reports, analyses, presentations and meeting documentation.
• Improve stock accuracy through relations with production, purchasing and warehouse teams.
• Assist with month-end and year-end reporting and reconciliations.
• Support auditors with year-end activity.
• Support ERP and BOM maintenance within the ERP system.
• Stock management, counts, valuations and spot checks.
• Liaise with intercompany stakeholders on stock and reporting.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
