Job summary

Low Carbon Contracts Company is seeking a Finance Reporting Manager for a 9-month FTC, based in Birmingham or Leeds. The role leads the team responsible for operational costs, prepares management accounts, internal reporting, and DESNZ submissions, with hybrid working and 2 days in the office.

The role requires a fully qualified accountant, advanced Excel, Power BI, and strong stakeholder management. Salary circa £72,000, 37.5 hours per week, with flexible patterns and a 2-days-office policy.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant with a recognised body and post-qualification experience.
• Strong Excel modelling skills across multiple dimensions (cost centres, schemes).
• Experience leading a team delivering high-quality financial management information.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and secure input from multiple parts of the business.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI, with ERP data analysis experience.
• Knowledge of IFRS and reporting controls across month-end and year-end processes.
• Experience with Datel and Sage reporting tools is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver management reporting to the Board and Finance Business Partners with variance analysis and insights.
• Own DESNZ reporting processes and ensure compliance with reporting letters.
• Develop monthly scheme and funding reporting with auditability of allocations.
• Oversee invoicing and intercompany processes, and oversee VAT submissions.
• Line-manage the Finance team and ensure timely month-end close and accuracy of financial data.
• Collaborate with Planning and External Reporting teams to align forecasts and statutory accounts.
