Interim Finance Process Transformation Lead - SAP S/4HANA

£1,250 per day - Outside IR35

Interim - Approx 12 Months

We are partnering with a major FTSE-listed organisation on a significant Finance Transformation programme as it prepares for the next stage of its journey towards SAP S/4HANA.

We are looking for a highly experienced Finance Process Transformation Lead to lead a critical discovery, assessment and roadmap phase across Record-to-Report (R2R/RTR), Order-to-Cash (O2C/OTC) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P/PTP).

This is not a general Transformation, Change, PMO or SAP implementation role.

We specifically need someone who has previously led a comparable Finance Process Transformation within a major SAP S/4HANA programme and can demonstrate this clearly.

The role

Working closely with senior Finance and Transformation leadership, you will:

• Lead discovery and diagnostic activity across Finance processes, systems and data.
• Assess current-state processes and help define the future-state across R2R, O2C and P2P.
• Identify opportunities for process standardisation, simplification, data harmonisation and improved governance.
• Help define a prioritised, value-led Finance Transformation roadmap.
• Challenge recommendations and proposed solutions from external consultancies and System Integrators.
• Ensure future Finance processes align appropriately with S/4HANA standard ways of working, challenging unnecessary customisation.
• Develop value frameworks and support business cases linking transformation initiatives to measurable outcomes.
• Engage and influence senior Finance, Transformation and Executive stakeholders.
• Help take the programme from discovery and roadmap into mobilisation for subsequent delivery.

Essential experience – please read before applying

To be considered you must be able to demonstrate:

• Significant SAP S/4HANA Finance Transformation experience.
• Previous responsibility for leading the discovery / diagnostic / roadmap stage of a major S/4HANA Finance Transformation.
• Genuine Finance Process Transformation experience – not simply SAP implementation, programme management, change management, testing, PMO or technology transformation.
• Strong end-to-end process knowledge across R2R/RTR, O2C/OTC and P2P/PTP.
• Experience of current-state assessment, future-state process design, process optimisation and standardisation.
• Sufficient S/4HANA knowledge to challenge proposed solutions, process design and customisation decisions, rather than relying entirely on SAP technical specialists.
• Experience working with and challenging Tier1 consultancies / major System Integrators.
• Experience turning discovery into a prioritised transformation roadmap and/or business case.
• Credibility operating with senior Finance and Executive stakeholders.
