Job summary

Aldi UK is seeking a Finance Business Partner (Investment Controlling & Decision Support) to drive investment planning, evaluation and performance monitoring across the business. You will partner with national and international stakeholders to ensure investment decisions are underpinned by robust financial analysis and governance.

Qualifications

• Experience in finance, management accounting or analytical roles.
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting or performance analysis.
• Good understanding of management reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Working knowledge of SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
• Experience supporting month-end processes and financial controls.
• Experience supporting the strategic investment decision-making process through understanding investment appraisal and risk assessment.
• Experience reviewing business cases, tracking benefits and analysing investment outcomes.
• Experience with financial modelling and scenario analysis.
• Familiarity with IFRS and UK GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Support evaluation of business cases for investments by reviewing financial assumptions and risks.
• Collaborate with national and international departments to align investment controlling approaches.
• Develop and maintain local investment plans and monitor project progress and benefits.
• Assist budgeting and forecasting processes for current and future years.
• Analyse store portfolio and investment data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with internal investment processes and maintain documentation.
• Prepare analysis, reports and data for national financial target discussions.
• Assist with ad hoc investment requests and contribute to process improvements.
