HFG Insurance Recruitment is partnering with a London-based insurance business to recruit a Finance Optimisation Analyst on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role focuses on developing and improving finance systems, with emphasis on Workday and DUCO, automating reporting and enhancing data accuracy.

You will work hands-on to build reporting, streamline workflows, and collaborate with Finance and Technology stakeholders to deliver practical, scalable solutions and drive finance transformation

Qualifications

• Finance Systems, Data Analytics, Reporting or Automation experience.
• Hands-on Workday and/or DUCO experience highly advantageous.
• Experience building or improving reporting solutions/workflows.
• Strong analytical skills and data interpretation for improvements.
• Advanced Excel skills are essential.
• Excellent communication with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience with Alteryx, Sigma or Anaplan would be beneficial.

HFG are currently partnering with an established insurance business seeking a Finance Optimisation Analyst to join their Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded individual with a background in finance systems, data analytics, reporting or process automation who enjoys improving workflows, enhancing reporting capabilities and delivering practical solutions.

This is not a traditional accounting or FP&A position. The successful candidate will be hands-on in developing, maintaining and improving existing finance systems, with a particular focus on Workday and DUCO.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance financial reporting and automation solutions across multiple systems.

• Build and improve existing workflows to increase efficiency, reduce manual processes and strengthen financial controls.

• Develop and enhance reporting capabilities within Workday, including composite reports and discovery boards.

• Support DUCO reconciliation processes, including improving matching rules, reconciliation logic and automation.

• Analyse financial data to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for process improvement.

• Collaborate with Finance and Technology stakeholders to understand requirements and implement effective solutions.

• Support system enhancements, testing, upgrades and wider finance transformation initiatives.

• Improve data accuracy, reporting quality and operational efficiency.

• Explore opportunities to introduce automation and AI-driven improvements.

Key Requirements

• Previous experience in a Finance Systems, Data Analytics, Reporting, Automation or Finance Transformation role.

• Hands-on experience with Workday and/or DUCO would be highly advantageous.

• Experience developing, building or improving reporting solutions, workflows or automated processes.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify practical improvements.

• Advanced Excel skills.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.

• Experience with Alteryx, Sigma or Anaplan would also be beneficial.

Additional Information

• Previous insurance or financial services experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

• Applicants from broader data analytics, finance systems or technology backgrounds are encouraged to apply, particularly those with relevant hands-on systems experience.
