Job summary

Arch Europe Insurance Services Ltd is seeking a Senior Finance Optimisation Analyst to lead complex reporting, automation and process improvements across major platforms including Workday, Alteryx, DUCO, Sigma and Anaplan. You will partner with Finance and technology teams to deliver scalable solutions and strengthen controls.

You will independently own initiatives, guide colleagues and drive continuous improvement while maintaining strong data quality and governance within a London-centric

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of accounting and Finance reporting, including UK GAAP and US GAAP.
• Advanced Excel and strong practical knowledge of Financial Reporting, automation and transferable optimisation skills.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving ability, with strong attention to detail, accuracy and control.
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision, take ownership and proactively progress complex initiatives.
• Sound judgement, adaptability and confidence to challenge existing processes and escalating risks appropriately.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and ability to guide colleagues and review solution quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and improvement of Finance reporting, automation and optimisation solutions across Workday, Sigma, Alteryx, DUCO and Anaplan.
• Develop advanced Workday reports, Alteryx workflows, Anaplan enhancements and DUCO reconciliation rules that improve efficiency, insight, data quality and control.
• Evaluate practical AI opportunities for reporting, automation and analysis within appropriate governance.
• Partner with stakeholders and system owners to challenge assumptions, define requirements and shape solutions for complex or ambiguous problems.
• Coordinate testing, upgrades and change delivery, managing dependencies and risks and embedding reliable solutions into business-as-usual activity.
• Act as a technical go-to person by setting standards, reviewing work and guiding colleagues.
• Maintain oversight of relevant Finance Improvement Tracker items, including priorities, progress and stakeholder coordination.

The Senior Finance Optimisation Analyst leads complex reporting, automation and process improvements across Workday, Alteryx, DUCO, Sigma and Anaplan. Working with Finance, technology teams and system owners, the role brings structure to complex problems, challenges inefficient processes, strengthens controls and delivers practical, scalable solutions.

The successful candidate must work independently with minimal supervision, take ownership and proactively progress initiatives. They will act as a technical go-to person, guide colleagues and combine strong analytical capability with a continuous improvement mindset.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting / Finance or a related discipline (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CII qualifications preferred).
• Experience using some of the automation / process improvement tools – Workday, Alteryx, DUCO, Sigma, Anaplan, Power Query or similar.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Experience

• Experience delivering complex Finance reporting, automation or process optimisation initiatives.
• Experience gathering and implementing business requirements.
• Experience partnering with stakeholders, challenging processes and guiding colleagues or reviewing work.
• Experience delivering Finance change or transformation initiatives.
• Experience managing multiple workstreams and prioritising work.
• Insurance industry experience and knowledge of the London Market are preferred.
• Practical experience with some of the following systems is preferable: Workday, Alteryx, Sigma, DUCO and Anaplan.
