Job summary

Nomura is seeking an Operations Oversight Associate in London for a 6-month temporary assignment. You will manage day-to-day oversight of EMEA operations, coordinating with offshore teams in Powai and third-party vendors to ensure control effectiveness and timely issue resolution.

The role requires strong communication, risk awareness, and the ability to drive process improvements, incident management, and KPI reporting.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines.
• Experience in financial services and controls oversight.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of offshored/outsourced processes, monitor risks, escalate as needed.
• Manage incident and major incident response from an Operations viewpoint.
• Ensure service quality aligning with regulatory changes and cost reduction via process improvements.
• Identify control gaps and implement effective Operational Standards.
• Coordinate with Powai, India and vendors; maintain daily KRI/KPI dashboards.
• Support Client Money review and substantiation; provide BCP/RTR coverage.
