Job summary

Chetwood Bank in the UK is looking for a Finance Operations Assistant to support reconciliations, invoice processing, accounting administration and balance sheet controls. You will report to the Finance Operations Manager and work across savings and bank accounts, contributing to accurate financial records and robust controls in a growing, regulated financial services business.

You’ll learn through hands-on experience with month-end close activities, management reporting, and end-to-end finance

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at grade 4/C or equivalent.
• Currently studying towards an AAT qualification or experience in finance.
• Previous finance, administration or office-based work experience.
• AAT studies already commenced.

Responsibilities

• Own and perform daily reconciliations of savings accounts, bank accounts, and related systems.
• Investigate and resolve reconciling items and suspense balances.
• Process specialist savings transactions accurately and in line with regulations and internal policies.
• Review and improve savings reconciliation processes for accuracy and efficiency.
• Support resolution of customer account queries related to savings.
• Maintain records of cash movements and balances.
• Assist with month-end close activities and routine accounting processes.
• Assist with preparation of management information and reporting.
