Job summary

Railpen Limited is seeking a strategic Head of Finance Operations to lead a technology-enabled finance operations function. You will shape the operating model, optimise Workday-based processes and drive automation, AI and resilience across the team.

Based from London or Darlington, this role requires strong governance, cross-functional collaboration and a track record of delivering finance transformation in a complex environment. Hybrid working is supported.

Qualifications

Significant senior leadership experience in Finance Operations.
Experience with Workday and ERP systems.
Strong governance and operational resilience knowledge.
Experience delivering finance transformation and process optimisation.

Responsibilities

Define and deliver the Finance Operations strategy and operating model.
Lead the optimisation of Finance Operations processes within the Workday environment.
Drive automation and emerging technologies (including AI) to enhance efficiency and controls.
Ensure robust governance, risk and contingency planning across Finance Operations.
Build relationships with senior stakeholders and develop a high‑performing team.
Align Finance Operations with other key operations teams across the organisation.
