A bit about the job:

You’ll join our General Ledger Accounting, Financial Control & Operations team within UK General Insurance Finance, leading our Healthcare billing and collections team. Leading and supporting a team of five, you’ll help them manage priorities and deliver an accurate, timely service for our corporate Healthcare clients. Working with teams across Aviva, you’ll help solve billing and collection queries and make sure issues have clear ownership through to resolution. The role also oversees key financial activities, including reconciliations and controls, while finding practical ways to improve how we work. You don’t need to be a technical accountant, but you’ll be comfortable working with financial information and understand the importance of accurate records.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• Strong people management experience, with a track record of leading teams to deliver accurate, deadline-driven work.
• Experience managing workloads and priorities, balancing service issues and competing demands in a busy operational environment.
• Strong relationship and communication skills, with the ability to work across teams and explain issues clearly to different audiences.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving, taking ownership of issues and coordinating with others to reach a resolution.
• Good risk and process awareness, with experience maintaining effective controls, accurate records and identifying practical improvements.
