Job summary

Aria Partners Limited is seeking a Finance & Operations Manager to join its London-based team. This broad role sits at the intersection of accounting, FP&A and operations, reporting to the CFO and taking ownership of the management company finance function.

You'll oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, management accounts and financial reporting with external providers, support strategic projects, audits and commercial analysis.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with post-qualification experience.
• Experience in investment management, private markets or related financial services environment preferred.
• Exposure to management company finance, financial planning or broader commercial finance activities.

Job description

Aria Partners is working with a growing alternative investment manager looking to appoint a Finance & Operations Manager to join its London based team.

This is a broad opportunity for a qualified accountant who wants to move beyond traditional financial reporting and take on a more commercially focused role with responsibility across the business.

Reporting directly to the CFO, you'll take ownership of the management company finance function alongside a range of wider operational responsibilities. The business operates a lean structure, so you'll have plenty of exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to how the firm operates.

The role will involve:

• Managing budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and wider FP&A activities.
• Overseeing management accounts and financial reporting, working closely with outsourced accounting providers.
• Supporting the CFO with financial modelling, strategic projects and commercial analysis.
• Coordinating year-end audits, tax processes and wider financial controls.
• Managing external service providers and supporting contract negotiations.
• Taking responsibility for various business operations, including aspects of HR, IT and internal processes.
• Identifying opportunities to improve systems, reporting and operational efficiency.

What we're looking for:

• A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with relevant post-qualification experience - likely to be around the 2-4 year mark
• Ideally experience within investment management, private markets or a related financial services environment, although strong professional services backgrounds will also be considered.
• Exposure to management company finance, financial planning or broader commercial finance activities.
• Someone proactive, commercially minded and comfortable working in a smaller, hands-on environment.
• Ambition to take on greater responsibility and develop into a senior finance leadership position over time.
