Accent Housing Group is seeking a Finance Officer to join its Finance team in a hybrid Bradford setup. You’ll support service charge budgeting, forecasts and year-end accounts, ensuring accurate allocations and robust reporting. The role suits someone with strong Excel skills, data analysis capability, and a detail-oriented approach to financial processes, with progression opportunities within a values-driven housing charity.
Qualifications
Hands on experience of accounting and financial principles (e.g., month end processes, forecasting, budget setting)
Experience using finance systems and working with financial data
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills with formulas and large datasets
Strong reporting and analytical skills to identify trends and discrepancies
High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills
Part-qualified in a relevant accounting qualification (or actively working towards qualification)
Responsibilities
Support the preparation of service charge budgets, forecasts and year-end accounts
Assist with calculation and allocation of service charge costs in line with occupancy agreements and regulatory requirements
Maintain accurate financial records and service charge data
Produce customer communications and financial information with high accuracy
Investigate and resolve discrepancies and identify potential issues
Support key finance processes and ensure deadlines are met
Work closely with the Service Charge Accountant and Finance team to deliver excellent customer outcomes
Contribute to continuous improvements in systems, processes and reporting
