Job summary

Accent Housing is seeking a detail-oriented Finance Officer to join the Finance team in Bradford. Hybrid role with in-office presence about once a month.

The position focuses on service charge budgets, forecasts, and year-end accounts, using strong Excel skills and sound accounting knowledge to ensure accurate financial data for customers and stakeholders. Qualifications

• Hands on experience of accounting and financial principles such as month end, forecasting, budget setting.
• Experience using finance systems and working with financial data.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills with formulas, large datasets and data manipulation.
• Strong reporting and analytical skills with ability to identify trends and ensure data accuracy.
• High level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills.
• Part-qualified in a relevant accounting qualification (or actively working towards)

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of service charge budgets, forecasts and year-end accounts.
• Assist with calculation and allocation of service charge costs in line with occupancy agreements and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate financial records and service charge data.
• Produce customer communications and financial information with high accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies and identify potential issues.
• Support key finance processes and meet deadlines.
• Work closely with the Service Charge Accountant and Finance team to deliver excellent outcomes.
• Contribute to improvements in systems, processes and reporting.
