Job summary

Witherslack Group is seeking a Finance Officer to join the Group Finance function. The role involves processing supplier invoices via the Workday purchase order system, supporting month-end accruals and journals, and preparing site management accounts.

You will work with schools and care homes across the group and train users of the Workday PO system. The position offers opportunities to develop financial expertise, with flexible working up to two days per week after induction, and a

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience of working within a Finance team.
• Experience of processing financial data and supporting transactional finance activities.
• Experience of preparing management accounts.
• Experience of working with Workday.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication skills with colleagues across functions.
• Ability to manage own time and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and to tight deadlines.
• Ability to challenge and address issues where financial policies are not followed.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices through Workday PO system and liaise with suppliers and colleagues.
• Support month-end processes including accruals, prepayments and journals.
• Prepare monthly management accounts for designated sites and highlight areas for investigation.
• Assist sites in understanding procurement policies and provide guidance.
• Support Workday PO system training for new and existing users.
