Job summary

NWS Group, a portfolio of warehouse solutions and related services, is seeking a Finance Assistant in Watford. This full-time, office-based role supports day-to-day transactional finance and month-end processes, with exposure to reconciliations and financial reporting.

The position involves invoicing, supplier/customer onboarding, and helping implement new PO processes, offering room to develop beyond pure transactional work.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a transactional role is essential.
• Advanced Excel skills are required.
• Strong communication and ability to work collaboratively across the finance team.

Responsibilities

• Process sales and purchase invoices and credit notes promptly.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain supplier statement reconciliations and resolve queries.
• Manage the accounts inbox and communicate across the business to resolve issues.
• Assist in onboarding new customers and suppliers on the accounting software.
• Process employee expenses and company credit card transactions.
• Ensure ledger accuracy and correct coding.
• Support finance projects including automation of invoice processing and new PO process.
• Lend support across the finance team as required.
