Job summary

Witherslack Group is seeking a Finance Officer to join the Group Finance function. The role handles transactional finance, processes supplier invoices in Workday PO, and collaborates with schools and care homes to resolve queries.

The post supports month-end processes, accruals, and prepayments, and prepares management accounts for designated sites. Training colleagues on Workday and procurement policies is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience of working within a Finance team.
• Experience of processing financial data and supporting transactional finance activities.
• Experience of preparing management accounts.
• Experience of working with Workday.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices through Workday PO system, liaising with suppliers and colleagues across sites.
• Support month-end by reviewing open purchase orders and accruals.
• Prepare journals and schedules for month-end accruals and prepayments.
• Prepare monthly management accounts for designated sites and investigate discrepancies.
• Guide sites on procurement policies and process improvements, and train users as needed.
