Job summary

Certitude in Balham is seeking a Finance Officer to manage transaction processing, primarily Purchase Ledger, and support other financial duties as needed. The role blends home and office work in a hybrid setup.

You will log invoices, route for approvals, resolve discrepancies, and prepare bi-monthly payment runs, working with MS Excel and standard finance software.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Finance transaction processing function.
• Experience using finance software efficiently.
• Good level of education, especially in Maths and English.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
• Organising, prioritising workload and time management.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Monitor purchase ledger inboxes, process invoices and payment requests accurately, and ensure timely ledger entry.
• Log invoices in the finance system, route them to the correct budget holders, and follow up on outstanding approvals.
• Investigate and resolve rejected invoices, aged creditor balances, supplier statement discrepancies, and payment-related queries.
• Prepare bi-monthly payment runs and distribute supplier remittances after payments are processed.
