Headway UK in Nottingham is seeking a Finance Officer to manage the purchase ledger and income journals, ensuring timely payments and accurate bank reconciliations. The role collaborates with the Financial Controller to maintain robust financial records.

The successful candidate will have a degree in a relevant field, at least two years in finance, and strong IT skills, including Exchequer. It is a hybrid role with in-office presence required after training.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in finance is preferred.
• Able to manage workload and priorities independently.
• Strong communication skills to explain financial information clearly.

Responsabilités

• Maintain the purchase ledger and issue income journals.
• Monitor purchase invoices and distribute for approval and coding.
• Input invoices onto Exchequer (autoloader or manual).
• Reconcile supplier statements and flag overdue or debit balances.
• Prepare and upload journals for daily sales, income, and charges.
• Update stock system with stock purchases for charity merchandise.
• Process online orders and issue invoices as required.
• Monitor stock levels via monthly stock count and reconcile.
