Job Summary: The Finance Officer is responsible for the efficient delivery of all financial operations and information across RLL (Oceanarium Bournemouth and Lakes Aquarium) and LMEC (Nickelodeon Adventure Lakeside). This includes accurate and timely collation, processing, and reporting of financial data, and implementing procedures for secure financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Operations and Duty Managers with the security, correct accounting, recording, and handling of all floats, monies, cheques, credit card transactions, and reconciliation of discrepancies.
• Ensure weekly and monthly reconciliation of cashing up, spreadsheets, till journals, and banking summaries.
• Maintain systems of control to monitor site income and expenditure.
• Process sales ledger invoices and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Liaise with third-party financial contractors such as cash collection agencies, PDQ merchant services, and banks.
• Support management in financial operations and reporting.
• Handle financial inquiries and correspondence.
• Process and record invoices, ensuring liabilities are properly documented and allocated.
• Record income, allocate to correct codes, and resolve discrepancies.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and report on bank balances.
• Prepare and distribute reports for management and head office departments.
• Provide performance reports and management information as needed.
• Ensure compliance with financial legislation and corporate governance.
• Assist with audits by cooperating with auditors.
