Job summary

Selfridges in London is seeking a Finance Manager to own the end-to-end financial service for Tech, Buying and Operations. You will partner with business leaders, deliver planning, commercial analysis and management accounts, and provide clear financial information to support decisions.

You will lead up to two Finance Analysts, coach them in technical and leadership skills, and deputise for the Senior Finance Manager when needed.

Qualifications

Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or international equivalent).
Experience managing or mentoring a Finance Analyst is desirable.
Strong commercial awareness, ideally in a fast-paced business environment.
Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; ability to build models from scratch that stand the test of time.
Experience with financial systems and using AI technologies.

Responsibilities

Finance ownership of Tech, Buying and Operations (including Property).
Identify and develop timely analysis to give business partners real insight.
Prepare business cases for investment decisions and post-investment reviews.
Build and maintain relationships with business area leadership; monitor risks and opportunities to P&L.
Complete cost/benefit analysis to improve productivity and profitability.
Deliver monthly management accounts with variance analysis and narrative.
Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning for the area.
Prepare and own balance sheet reconciliations and communicate risks to senior stakeholders.
Drive process improvements across the area and collaborate with the Finance Team.
Manage and develop a team of up to two Finance Analysts; deputise when required.
