Job Opportunity: Surgical Oncology Finance Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen to apply for the Surgical Oncology Finance Manager role within the Cancer and Surgery finance team at Guy's & St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust.

The Finance Manager provides business partnering support to their Directorate in all monthly, annual, and ad hoc financial performance and planning activities. Responsibilities include:

1. Month-end reporting
2. Forecasting and financial planning in collaboration with clinicians and operational managers
3. Consulting with the Directorate General Manager and Deputy Head of Finance
4. Presenting reports at Directorate meetings

This role is an integral part of the Directorate’s Management Team.

Candidates should hold a professional qualification in accountancy (CCAB or equivalent) and demonstrate continuous development through relevant post-qualification experience or significant management accounting experience in a large, complex organization. NHS experience is advantageous but not essential. Strong communication and people skills are vital, as business partnering and influencing budget holders are key elements of the role.
