Job summary

Education for Industry Group is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead the finance team and provide an accurate, customer-focused service across the organisation. This hands-on role includes month-end reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and audit coordination in a collaborative environment.

You will work closely with budget holders and stakeholders to deliver financial insight, drive informed decisions, and support continuous improvement, while developing and mentoring team members

Qualifications

• Educated to A Level standard or equivalent, preferably in Maths, Accounting or a related discipline, with GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above). A CCAB qualification (ACCA, CIMA or ACA), or studying towards one, would be advantageous.
• Previous experience in a Finance Manager or senior finance role, including team leadership, financial reporting and month-end processes.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls and computerised accounting systems. Experience of Sage Intacct would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Finance team, ensuring delivery of an efficient, accurate finance service across the organisation.
• Oversee month-end reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, financial controls and audit coordination.
• Collaborate with budget holders and stakeholders, providing financial insight to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Lead key finance activities, mentor team members, influence process improvements and contribute to strategic development of the Finance function.
