Job summary

dnata is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee the financial accounting function, ensuring timely month-end and year-end reporting. You will lead a team of three Financial Accountants, manage audits, and drive improvements in finance processes.

The role requires significant technical accounting expertise, statutory reporting experience, and proven leadership within a complex organisation. London Heathrow based, permanent full-time position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant – ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Significant experience in a financial accounting role, preferably within a complex organisation.
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge.
• Proven experience managing month-end and year-end close processes.
• Experience preparing or supporting the preparation of statutory accounts.
• Experience managing internal and external audit processes.
• Previous experience managing, developing and motivating a finance team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the month-end close process, ensuring reporting deadlines are consistently achieved.
• Review and approve journals, accruals, prepayments, provisions and other month-end accounting adjustments.
• Oversee and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring outstanding items are investigated and resolved promptly.
• Continuously review and improve month-end processes to increase efficiency and reduce reporting timelines.
• Lead the year-end financial accounting process and coordinate the preparation of statutory accounts.
• Manage and coordinate the Finance team's response to internal and external audit requirements.
• Act as a key point of contact for auditors on financial accounting matters.
• Manage, motivate and develop a team of three Financial Accountants.
• Review the quality and accuracy of work produced by the team.
