Job summary

Mitchell Adam are working with a rapidly growing Birmingham-based SME in the technology sector to recruit a newly qualified Finance Manager. This role will own the day-to-day finance function and be a key part of the next stage of the business.

With two days in the office, you will work closely with the Finance Director and senior leadership, gaining broad exposure across management accounts, forecasting, cashflow and board-level reporting while helping improve controls and automation as the

Qualifications

• Newly qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA, or someone qualified by experience with a strong hands-on finance background.
• Previous practice experience with a desire to move into a broad, commercially focused industry role.
• Strong understanding of UK VAT, alongside solid core accounting and month-end knowledge.
• Good Excel and financial analysis skills, with the confidence to work independently and investigate the numbers.
• Commercially minded, proactive and comfortable communicating financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end ownership of the Group's finance function, ensuring accurate management accounts and timely reporting.
• Lead forecasting, cashflow planning and commercial analysis to support business decisions.
• Prepare board-level financial information and contribute to strategic discussions with senior leadership.
