Job summary

Medlock Partners is seeking a Finance Manager for a high‑growth UK direct‑to‑consumer e‑commerce business. You will own the finance function, oversee end‑to‑end financial processes and influence strategy with the Finance Director and CFO.

You will manage a small finance team, drive month‑end close, and deliver timely management information across UK/US entities in multiple currencies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a DTC/ecommerce environment.
• Qualified accountant with post‑qualification experience.
• Strong finance process and controls knowledge.
• Experience leading a small finance team.

Responsibilities

• Own the financial close process and ensure timely, accurate information.
• Lead the month-end close from start to finish.
• Deliver P&L and balance sheet within 5–7 days of month end.
• Produce monthly management accounts and analysis.
• Oversee general ledger, balance sheet and intercompany accounting.
• Oversee COGS, product costing and inventory valuation.
• Manage VAT, accruals and prepayments.
• Establish robust financial controls and SOPs.
• Mentor junior staff and help shape recruitment for the team.
• Collaborate with Finance Director on transformation projects.
• Coordinate UK/US group accounting and multi‑currency reporting.
