Job summary

Chiltern Park Recruitment Ltd is partnering with a growing engineering business in Nottingham to appoint a Finance Manager. This hands-on role takes ownership of the day-to-day finance function and provides greater exposure to senior leadership as the business grows.

You will produce financial reports, manage monthly accounts, forecast cashflow and oversee payroll, VAT and reconciliations. Strong Xero proficiency and Excel skills are essential, with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent preferred.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in a senior finance position.
• Proven ability to produce management accounts and financial reports.
• Strong Excel skills and financial modelling experience.
• Experience with VAT, cashflow forecasting and year-end processes.

Responsibilities

• Produce financial reports and support monthly management accounts.
• Forecast and manage cashflow; support budgeting processes.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, credit control, banking and reconciliations.
• Manage accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and depreciation.
• Take responsibility for VAT returns, payroll administration and expenses.
• Assist with audit preparation and ensure processes are accurate and efficient.
• Utilise Xero to manage and improve financial processes.
