Butler Rose is recruiting a Finance Manager - FP&A to lead UK & Ireland financial planning, reporting and commercial insight across three interconnected businesses. Working with the Finance Director, you will own the planning cycle, consolidate P&L and deliver accurate, actionable analysis.

The role offers hybrid working from Berkshire/Thames Valley with up to £80K plus bonus and benefits, and the opportunity to influence senior stakeholders and drive forecasting and governance improvements.

Formación

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification with significant FP&A or broader financial management experience.
• Strong financial modelling, forecasting, budgeting and full P&L consolidation experience.
• Experience across multiple entities, business units or international operations.
• Ability to challenge forecasts and reporting outputs with commercial insight.
• Excellent communication and business partnering skills.

Are you an accomplished FP&A professional who understands what drives business performance, knows what good looks like and enjoys bringing structure, clarity and commercial insight to complex financial information?

We're supporting an established international organisation in the appointment of an experienced Finance Manager - FP&A to play a pivotal role in strengthening financial planning, reporting and commercial insight across its UK & Ireland operations. Working closely with the Finance Director, you'll be taking ownership of the financial planning cycle and creating greater consistency, transparency and accountability across three interconnected businesses.

This is an opportunity to do considerably more than consolidate numbers. It's about understanding what drives performance, challenging assumptions and establishing the financial rhythm that enables better business decisions.

The opportunity

You’ll have a central role in shaping how financial performance is measured, interpreted and communicated, working with senior stakeholders across a complex, international operating environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• FP&A Leadership: Own and coordinate annual budgets, mid-year forecasts, monthly reporting and financial planning cycles, ensuring consistency and accuracy throughout.
• Financial Consolidation: Bring together full P&L reporting across two related businesses, providing meaningful analysis of performance against budgets, forecasts and prior periods.
• Commercial Insight: Look beyond the numbers to understand underlying performance drivers, identify risks and opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Strategic Business Partnering: Work closely with the Finance Director and senior stakeholders, providing constructive challenge and supporting commercial and operational decisions.
• Planning & Governance: Establish a clear rhythm for financial planning, reporting and business projects, aligning stakeholders, deadlines and deliverables.
• Reporting Improvement: Enhance the quality, consistency and effectiveness of financial reporting, ensuring leadership teams receive accurate, timely and relevant information.
• Cost Management: Oversee operating expenditure and headcount analysis, supporting and developing a dedicated analyst.
• What are we looking for?
• We're interested in experienced finance professionals who combine strong technical FP&A capability with commercial curiosity, sound judgement and the confidence to influence senior stakeholders.

You’ll ideally bring:

• A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), supported by significant FP&A or broader financial management experience.
• Strong financial modelling, forecasting, budgeting and full P&L consolidation experience.
• Experience working across multiple entities, business units or international operations.
• An instinctive understanding of financial performance drivers, with the confidence to challenge forecasts, assumptions and reporting outputs.
• Excellent communication and business partnering skills, with the ability to turn complex financial information into clear commercial recommendations.
• A proven ability to establish effective planning processes, improve reporting consistency and manage competing priorities.
• Experience with SAP, BPC or similar enterprise planning and reporting systems would be advantageous.
