Job summary

UK SBS Ltd is recruiting a Finance Manager in Corporate Finance to lead financial insight, planning and governance. You will partner with senior leaders, shape forecasts, manage the monthly close and drive financial process improvements, including data and Oracle tooling.

This hybrid role requires substantial experience in senior financial management, standout stakeholder communication and the ability to develop and lead a finance team across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• To do this role well you will need to demonstrate the following: Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or qualified by experience.
• Significant experience in senior financial management, finance business partnering or comparable role.
• Experience of producing reports and presenting financial information to senior stakeholders.
• Experience of managing or coordinating budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, financial control and governance principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and financial modelling skills.
• The ability to influence and challenge constructively at senior level.
• Experience of leading, managing and developing finance professionals.
• Strong written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience of driving process improvement and supporting organisational change.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior leaders with financial insight, constructive challenges and advice to improve decision-making.
• Develop strong relationships with budget holders and senior stakeholders, providing clear analysis of financial performance, risks and opportunities.
• Manage and coordinate the annual budgeting and business planning process.
• Coordinate forecasting activity and deliver robust financial modelling and scenario analysis to support organisational decision-making.
• Support the preparation of accurate and insightful management information for senior leadership and Executive reporting.
• Manage the production of accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including financial analysis and insightful commentary.
• Manage the operation of financial controls and support compliance with relevant accounting standards, policies and governance requirements.
• Lead, develop and motivate members of the Corporate Finance team, managing performance, priorities and workload.
• Identify and deliver agreed improvements in financial processes, controls and reporting, including the effective use of data, automation and Oracle EPM.
• Coordinate the development and maintenance of financial policies, procedures and guidance, escalating significant or material issues to the Head of Finance as appropriate.
• Deputise for the Head of Finance as required.
