About us
The Financial team is a centralised finance team working closely with the Services to provide financial advice and expertise. You will play a crucial role in supporting the objectives of the Finance Team by building relationships, maintaining value for money, and innovating working methods.
We currently have an exciting vacancy within our team to build on our success and bring new experience, knowledge, and ideas. We operate in a hybrid way, combining office and home working.
The Corporate team handles the production of the statement of accounts, budget reports, monitoring the collection fund, treasury management, and VAT advice.
We are delivering Project Genesis, which aims to replace our current SAP system with new HR, Payroll, and Finance systems. This project is not just a system upgrade but a transformative initiative to improve collaboration across the organisation, introduce digital solutions, and foster a modern, inclusive workplace.
This role will represent the Corporate Finance team within Project Genesis.
If you have a proven track record of delivering solutions, want to make a difference, and thrive in a strong team culture, we want to hear from you. We seek an enthusiastic, proactive, and motivated individual capable of working under strict deadlines. You should be a fully qualified accountant (or qualified through experience) with significant accounting and commercial experience, including funding models, management accounting, budgeting, and forecasting. Experience in producing statements of accounts, setting corporate budgets, collection fund accounting, and business partnering is desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage diverse stakeholders are essential. Prior experience in a Local Authority is not required.
