Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking a Finance Manager for Financial and Technical Reporting in London/Coventry/Manchester. You will own the consolidated statements, manage entity submissions and intercompany eliminations, and partner with Audit to ensure robust reporting and compliance.

You will lead the annual report and statutory financial statements, develop accounting papers for complex transactions, and drive improvements across close processes and systems while coaching junior staff.

Qualifications

• Owns delivery of accurate consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Manages legal entity submissions, consolidation adjustments, intercompany eliminations and FX translations.
• Leads annual report and statutory financial statements preparation.
• Prepares technical accounting papers with guidance, judgments and financial impacts.
• Coordinates external audit and supports Board, shareholders and lenders.
• Champions improvements to close processes, controls and reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of accurate, timely consolidated financial statements and reporting packs.
• Manage legal entity submissions, consolidation adjustments, intercompany eliminations and FX translations.
• Lead annual report and statutory financial statements preparation.
• Prepare accounting papers with guidance and judgments and recommended treatment.

• Improve close processes and reporting controls across the finance function.
