Job summary

Swanky is growing its group finance function and is seeking a Finance Manager to own the numbers, build accurate management accounts, and implement scalable controls from day one.

This newly created role offers exposure to senior reporting, strategic planning and finance leadership with a clear path to Financial Controller, plus a modern hybrid setup.

The role is Exeter-based with two to three days in the office, and options for 0.8 FTE.

Qualifications

• Experience leading management accounting and month-end processes.
• Ability to communicate with non-finance audiences and senior stakeholders.
• Autonomy to shape and scale a new finance function.
• Ambition to progress towards Financial Controller.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead the management accounting function with timely reporting.
• Design and implement month-end processes and controls.
• Prepare monthly management accounts with variance analysis for non-finance users.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and revenue recognition.
• Build processes/systems to increase efficiency, incl. AI where applicable.
• Oversee year-end with auditors and external advisers.
• Manage cash flow, FX exposure, and budgeting/reforecasting.
