Job description

Finance Manager

United Kingdom / permanent /

Qurated is a founder‑led search and consulting firm working with leading businesses across Financial Services, Legal Services and Private Equity. We operate across Executive Search, Adaptive Teams, and Talent Projects and have been building for around 10 years. We are hiring a Finance Manager to take ownership of the day‑to‑day finance function and help build the financial infrastructure the business needs as it continues to scale.

The role

The Finance Manager will be responsible for owning the core finance operations of the business, ensuring accurate reporting, clear cash visibility, strong financial control, and practical insight for leadership. This is a hands‑on role with real ownership across accounting, reporting, credit control, budgeting, commercial contracts, systems, and external finance relationships.

You will be involved in:
  • Owning core finance operations, including month‑end close, reconciliations, payroll coordination, accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Producing management accounts, cash‑flow reporting and P&L analysis so leadership has clear, reliable financial information
  • Managing credit control, debtor collections and short‑term cash forecasting
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting and profitability analysis across customers and business lines
  • Building clear reporting, dashboards and financial narratives that help leadership and non‑finance teams understand performance and make better decisions
  • Supporting the consolidation of UK and US entities, including intercompany transactions, currency adjustments, compliance and statutory administration
Why this opportunity
  • Genuine ownership of the finance function, with the opportunity to build structure, improve processes and create clearer financial visibility across the business
  • Join a high‑growth, founder‑led business at the point where finance is becoming more strategic, more visible and more important to how the company scales
  • Work closely with leadership and wider commercial teams, translating financial information into practical insight that supports better decisions
  • The chance to shape how finance operates, including the use of automated and AI‑assisted tools, rather than simply inheriting a fixed way of working
What we are looking for

This opportunity would suit someone who is comfortable owning a broad, hands‑on finance role in a scaling business. You will bring:

  • Strong ownership of core finance outputs, including P&L, cash flow, forecasting, reconciliations and reporting
  • Strong spreadsheet and financial modelling skills, with the ability to turn numbers into clear insight
  • High attention to detail, with the judgement to know when to escalate and when to get on with it
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work confidently with non‑finance colleagues
  • Experience improving processes, building structure or bringing more rigour into a finance function
  • Experience with Xero, Dext, spend management tools, automated workflows or AI‑powered finance tools would be useful, but not essential
  • A formal accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA would be helpful, but strong practical experience will also be considered.
