Job summary

Exeter-based technology business is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to own day-to-day finance activities and strengthen controls, reporting and processes. The role involves managing liquidity, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and continuous improvement while supporting the CFO and senior leaders.

Previous SME experience is important; ACA/ACCA/CIMA/AAT or equivalent experience is preferred. Hybrid working with office-based in Exeter, and salary £50,000–£60,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Strong track record in financial control, management accounting or Finance Manager role.
• Experience preparing finalised management accounts.
• Proven ability to produce insightful financial analysis and reporting.
• Experience with budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Excellent Excel and financial systems skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed monthly management accounts with commentary.
• Lead and improve monthly financial reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and progress analysis.
• Oversee day-to-day finance function and liquidity management.
• Collaborate with outsourced transactional support for invoice processing.
