Wade Macdonald is seeking a commercially minded Finance Manager to lead the finance function across two locations. You will partner with operational leaders to drive profitability, strengthen reporting processes and support strategic commercial decisions.

You will be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or near qualification) with 4–5 years of relevant finance experience, strong Excel and ERP knowledge, and a proactive, analytical mindset to influence senior stakeholders.

About the Job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially minded Finance Manager. Working closely with operational leaders and senior management, you will provide valuable financial insight, strengthen reporting processes and help drive profitability. This is a varied and influential position combining financial management, business partnering and team leadership.

Duties will include:

• Leading and developing the finance team, ensuring effective financial management and compliance across both locations.
• Partnering with operational management to evaluate business performance and support key commercial decisions.
• Preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts and financial reports.
• Analysing sales performance, profitability, work in progress and operational costs to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Managing cash flow projections, overseeing working capital and supporting effective credit control.
• Coordinating statutory reporting, external audits, VAT submissions and financial compliance requirements.
• Reviewing financial systems and ERP processes to improve efficiency, accuracy and reporting capabilities.
• Monitoring departmental expenditure, supplier agreements and wider business overheads.
• Providing financial evaluations to support investment proposals, recruitment planning and resource allocation.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across Operations, Sales, HR and central finance to improve business performance.

About the Successful Applicant

You will be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, or approaching qualification, with at least four to five years' relevant finance experience. Strong Excel skills, ERP knowledge and commercial awareness are essential. You will be a confident communicator, comfortable challenging and influencing senior stakeholders, with the ability to lead a team effectively. A proactive, analytical approach and the confidence to work independently will be key to your success.
