Job summary

The CFO HQ in Wigan is seeking a Finance Manager to own monthly management accounts, lead budgeting and build commercial models. You will partner with the Managing Director and senior leaders to drive profitability and commercial decisions across contracts.

The role covers UK and US reporting, improving financial systems and controls, and developing junior finance staff to deliver robust financial insights for pricing and bids.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified, or qualified by experience, with strong management accounting experience.
• 2+ years in a comparable role with exposure to budgeting and commercial modelling.
• Strong Excel skills and experience using Xero, plus ability to explain financial data clearly.

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end process and produce accurate management accounts with KPI commentary.
• Lead the annual budget process with budget holders and explain variances.
• Build and maintain financial models for pricing, bids and scenario planning.
• Analyse revenue and margins across customers, contracts and service lines.
• Oversee reconciliations, ledgers, expenses and payroll via external providers.
• Support US accounting activities, intercompany reporting and transfer pricing.
• Develop junior finance colleagues and improve reporting, systems and controls.
