Travail Employment Group Ltd in Bristol is seeking a Finance Manager to join an SME manufacturer/supplier. The successful candidate will manage a small team, produce monthly management accounts, and partner with departments to drive cost control and profitability.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified, or studying towards ACCA or CIMA, or fully qualified.
• Experience as a management accountant or finance manager with small team supervision.
• Background in SME manufacturing or supplier business preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce end-to-end monthly management accounts within a week of month-end.
• Ensure timely completion of all reporting.
• Reconcile balance sheet and control accounts monthly, resolving variances.
• Collaborate with other departments to track expenditure vs budget/forecast.
• Provide insights for management reporting to support profitability.
• Prepare 13-week cash flow and distribute to senior management.
• Develop and automate regular KPI reporting.
• Support month-end group reporting for the parent company.

Finance Manager £50,000 to £55,000 per annum, Permanent, Full time. 37.5 hours per week, To Start ASAP, BS16 Fishponds, Bristol, 30 days holiday, Pension, Parking plus more. Established for over 30 years, a leading manufacturer and supplier who are actively recruiting a finance manager to join the team.

Supplying on a global basis, working within an accounts team of 5 with the full support of a finance director.

This position will see you working within a team spirited environment who can offer you stability and a fantastic, personable office.

The finance manager will have 2 direct reports and will see you carrying out duties such as:

• Responsible for producing end-to-end monthly management accounts, ensuring that these have been completed within a week on month end date


• Ensuring all associated reporting is completed and sent out in a timely manner


• Ensuring all balance sheet accounts and control accounts are fully reconciled monthly, any variances are resolved promptly (including inter-company accounts)


• Working with all departments team across the business, tracking expenditure (vs budget / forecast), business partnering to help managers understand trends and supporting with cost control initiatives


• Feeding insights into management reporting (from working with teams across the business) to support business decisions and development in order to achieve business objectives and drive profitability.


• Production of 13-week short term cashflow (updated on a weekly basis) and distribution to senior management team and parent group


• Supporting business with developing and automation of regular reporting KPI reporting


• Supporting with month group reporting requirements for parent company

Key skills we are looking for within this finance manager role would be:

• Sage 200 experienced


• Microsoft office experienced using Outlook, Excel, Word and Powerpoint

The successful candidate working within the finance manager role will have a need to be part-qualified, currently studying towards or fully qualified within to ACCA or CIMA level, hold a background working as a management accountant or finance manager where they have supervised a small team.

Ideally, a background within an SME manufacture or supplier based business would advantageous.

This would be the ideal role for someone who has worked as a management accountant, finance manager or financial manager.
