Job summary

Trafford Park is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to own the finance function and work directly with company directors at Head Office. You will ensure accurate reporting, robust controls and statutory compliance while leading a small team across multiple sites.

You will oversee monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts and year-end processes, providing strategic financial insight to enable sound commercial decisions.

Qualifications

• A recognised finance qualification or be qualified by experience.
• Proven experience in a senior finance position, managing a finance function.
• Strong experience preparing management accounts, cash flow forecasts and year-end financial information.
• A sound understanding of financial controls, VAT, payroll, PAYE, National Insurance, pensions and statutory compliance.
• Experience leading or supervising a finance team.
• Experience working with company directors and external financial advisers.
• Strong commercial awareness, analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, organisational and people management skills.

Responsibilities

• Taking overall responsibility for financial compliance, reporting and statutory returns, including tax, VAT and pensions.
• Preparing and presenting accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Producing monthly cash flow forecasts and monitoring cash flow and working capital.
• Leading and developing the finance team, maintaining effective financial processes, controls and procedures.
• Taking responsibility for the accurate and timely production of weekly payroll.
• Managing payroll compliance, including PAYE, National Insurance and pension contributions.
• Reviewing and managing utility contracts across all company sites.
• Coordinating year-end processes and preparing for annual audits.
• Working closely with the Directors to provide financial insight and support sound commercial decision-making.

The company is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to lead its finance function, oversee financial compliance and take responsibility for payroll across the business. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys combining financial leadership with day-to-day operational involvement. The Role Reporting directly to the Directors and based at Head Office, you will take responsibility for the effective running of the finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust controls and full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
