Job summary

Pertemps Southampton is recruiting an experienced Finance Manager to join an established engineering company in Southampton. The role is hands-on, focusing on day-to-day finance operations and robust business accounts management. You will handle invoicing in Sage, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

AAT qualification and strong Excel skills are essential. Working hours are Mon-Thu 8:00-16:30 and Fri 8:00-13:30 with 25 days leave plus bank holidays;

Qualifications

• AAT qualification is essential.
• Experience in an accounts role and strong business accounts fundamentals.
• Proficient in Sage and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Posting purchase and sales invoices using Sage.
• Raising sales invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Completing bank reconciliations.
• Maintaining accurate business accounts and financial records.

Finance Manager

Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced Finance Manager to join an established engineering company in the heart of Southampton. This is a hands‑on position suited to someone with a strong understanding of business accounts and day‑to‑day finance operations.

Key Responsibilities as a Finance Manager

• Posting purchase and sales invoices using Sage
• Raising sales invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• Completing bank reconciliations
• Maintaining accurate business accounts and financial records
• Supporting general accounts administration and reporting
• Ensuring accuracy and compliance across financial processes

Requirements

• AAT qualified (essential)
• Previous experience in an accounts role
• Strong understanding of business accounts fundamentals
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Experience using Sage accounting software
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively

The Finance Manager role:
£35,000 - £42,000 depending on experience
Monday – Thursday 8am – 4.30pm, Friday 8am – 1.30pm
25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
