Pertemps are currently recruiting an experienced Accounts Manager to join an established engineering company in Southampton. This hands-on role focuses on day-to-day finance operations and maintaining accurate business accounts.

Key duties include posting invoices in Sage, raising sales invoices, bank reconciliations, and providing financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have an AAT qualification, strong Excel skills and a detail‑oriented, independent work style.

Accounts Manager

Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Manager to join an established engineering company in the heart of Southampton. This is a hands-on position suited to someone with a strong understanding of business accounts and day-to-day finance operations.

Key Responsibilities as an Accounts Manager:

• Posting purchase and sales invoices using Sage
• Raising sales invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• Completing bank reconciliations
• Maintaining accurate business accounts and financial records
• Supporting general accounts administration and reporting
• Ensuring accuracy and compliance across financial processes

Requirements

• AAT qualified (essential)
• Previous experience in an accounts role
• Strong understanding of business accounts fundamentals
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Experience using Sage accounting software
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively

The Accounts Manager role:

• £35,000 - £42,000 depending on experience
• Monday - Thursday 8am - 4.30pm, Friday 8am - 1.30pm
• 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
