Job summary

Nigel Wright Group is partnering with a fast-growing, entrepreneurial business to appoint a Finance Manager. This newly created role offers the chance to take ownership of the finance function, partnering with senior leadership to provide financial rigour, commercial insight and strategic support.

You'll manage everything from monthly management accounts and cashflow reporting to profitability analysis, forecasting and business partnering, helping the business make better decisions and drive

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or qualified by experience.
• Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Proven experience working with accounting and ERP systems.
• Confident producing management accounts and MI packs from first principles.
• Commercially minded with strong analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, P&L reports and cashflow statements.
• Produce monthly management information packs and financial performance analysis.
• Deliver variance analysis against budget and prior periods.
• Develop financial dashboards and KPI reporting.
• Maintain and reconcile accounting systems and ERP integrations.
• Ensure accurate reconciliation across sales channels and operational systems.
• Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies.
• Drive improvements to financial processes, controls and reporting.
• Analyse profitability by customer, channel and product category
• Support pricing decisions, commercial negotiations and growth initiatives.
• Build and maintain budgets, forecasts and financial models.
• Evaluate new business opportunities and support strategic decision-making.
• Manage VAT reporting and compliance requirements.
• Lead year-end preparation and support external accountants and auditors.
• Support and develop a small finance team member, overseeing credit control activities
