Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to have been exclusively engaged by a long standing client, a unique specialist services business that operates a group of companies trading across a range of industry sectors. The business currently seeks to recruit an experienced Finance Manager, a full time, permanent position that can be performed on a hybrid working arrangement to suit the successful candidate.
This will be a broad and interesting opportunity where the successful candidate will, working closely with the company director’s, take a lead role in managing the financial health for group of associated companies. Key aspects of the role to include:
- Supervise and develop a small team of transactional support staff
- Production of management accounts with commentary for group companies
- Improving and streamlining accounting processes and symptoms
- Variance and business performance analysis
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- VAT reporting
- Prepare annual budgets and forecasts (with company director’s)
- Oversee bank reconciliations
- Intercompany recharges
- Act as a point of contact for major clients
For this role we seek an experienced Finance Manager/Management Accountant with a good understanding of efficient accounting for group companies, ideally gained within the services/logistics sector. Our client is open to candidates that are either part/fully qualified or with appropriate vocational experience. The business is technology focussed and a good all-round IT aptitude will be essentially, ideally with exposure of Xero and Access Financials (in addition to some bespoke tools). The role calls for a candidate with good team working skills and supervisory aptitude; this is a fast paced role that works with an energetic management team. Please note that the role will require quarterly travel to the southeast of the UK to visit other operating sites.
