Job summary

ACCA Careers is seeking a Finance Manager in Nottingham to manage financial performance in a hands-on role within the manufacturing sector. Qualifications

• Qualified accounting professional or equivalent with ACCA/CIMA/ACA or QBE.
• Hands-on experience in a Finance Manager/Management Accountant role.
• Strong skills in financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
• Excellent business acumen in industrial and manufacturing settings.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Management Accounts and monthly/annual close processes.

This is a hybrid position in Nottingham and is payng up to £50,000.

Our client is looking for a Finance Manager who can work closely with the Finance Director and support the finance team. This is a hands on position in the finance team in Nottingham.

The successful Finance Manager will have a split role between Business Partnering and Management Accounts.

Description

• Preparation of Management Accounts


• Month and year end closing processes


• Support with reporting requirements


• Reconciliations


• Oversee transactional ledgers


• Maintaining fixed asset register


• Producing P and L


• Assisting Finance Director with budgets and forecasts


• Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.


• Partner with operational teams to drive performance and profitability.


• Prepare and present financial reports and budgets to stakeholders.


• Monitor and analyse financial performance against targets.


• Identify trends, risks and opportunities to inform business planning.


• Support the development and implementation of financial strategies.


• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.


• Assist in forecasting and investment appraisals to support business growth.

Profile

A Successful Finance Business Partner Should Have

• A professional qualification in accounting or finance (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or be Qualified by Experience


• Experience in a hands on Finance Manager position / Management Accountant role


• Experience in financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting.


• Strong business acumen and understanding of the industrial and manufacturing sector.


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.


• Proficiency in financial systems and tools.
