Paul Card Recruitment Ltd is seeking a finance leader to manage and develop a four-person accounting team. You will oversee management accounts, balance-sheet reconciliations and ensure high-quality reporting.

The role focuses on improving processes, controls and forecasting, while aligning with senior commercial and operational stakeholders in a multi-site business. Hybrid working from Newcastle is offered.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with strong management-accounting experience.
• Experience in leading multi-site finance teams and delivering accurate management information.
• Skilled at driving process improvements and controlling and reporting performance.

Responsabilités

• Line-manage and coach a team of four accountants.
• Set expectations and hold delivery for timely reporting.
• Oversee management accounts and balance-sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure reporting is accurate, controlled and delivered on time.
• Identify and implement process improvements across the function.

You know how to deliver a clean month-end.

But can you lead the people behind it and improve the processes that make it happen?

This is a genuine line-management role within a large, fast-paced, multi-site business. You'll lead a team of four qualified and part-qualified accountants, taking responsibility for their performance, development and the quality of their output.

The environment moves quickly. Priorities compete, deadlines don't move and the current way of working won't always be the best one. You'll need to keep month-end on track while finding smarter, stronger ways to deliver it.

What will you be doing?

What are we looking for?

Ideally, you'll be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, with strong management-accounting experience.

More importantly, you'll be an experienced line manager who knows how to improve performance, not simply monitor it. You'll be comfortable managing competing deadlines, challenging existing processes and maintaining high standards in a fast-paced environment.

Multi-site experience and knowledge of SunSystems would be useful but aren't essential.
