Superb opportunity to join this multiple-award winning indie production scaleup. Although already well established they are bucking the industry trend and are in a period of rapid growth with a range of exciting projects/commissions greenlit with further aggressive development plans for the next 3 years.

Broad role reporting to the COO managing the day-to-day financial operations & developing the finance function (actuals & FP&A) as the business takes off as well as overseeing the production accounting function . It’s an autonomous role but with the support of a very experienced and distinguished senior leadership team working with everyone across the business.

This will initially be a sole top to bottom finance role but with the view to rapidly develop into an FC position and the develop a junior team below as the business grows.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to financial reporting/actuals, financial analysis, preparing management accounts, monitoring and managing cash-flow, invoicing clients and paying suppliers.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts (full P&L/balance sheet), variance analysis & commentary for main company and subsidiaries

• Liaise closely with auditors in the preparation of statutory accounts/returns and compliance

• Take responsibility for all SPV’s for each production

• Oversee the production accounting function and outsourced Production Accountants

• Be comfortable setting up and managing financial operations

• Manage cash flow on monthly basis

• Manage supplier/ client invoicing and payments

• Liaise with other departments

• Management accounts control & consolidation across the Group

• Cash management, consolidation and cost control

• Cash flow forecast consolidation & investigations

• Be involved in the annual budgeting process, and track & refine as we develop

• Help design and implement a set of scalable financial and operational controls

• Design, manage, format and approve all journals and management accounts

• Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements

• P&L and cash budgeting and forecasting

• Ad hoc financial analysis

Skills and Experience:

• Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent) Finalist or QBE

• Intermediate/advanced knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel, Word.

• Experience in managing/running a month-end function ideally within a production SME

• Production accounting experience preferred but not essential

• Willing to progress to leadership level within the business

• Happy to be hands-on and get their hands dirty in transactional accounting as required

• Outgoing, driven and enthusiastic individual

• Have strong communication skills

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with good sense of humour!
