Job summary

Huddersfield Town Foundation is seeking a proactive Finance Manager to lead the Foundation’s finance function. You will manage day-to-day finances, provide monthly accounts and reporting, and support governance and fundraising in a community-focused charity.

The role reports to the CEO and will coordinate financial returns to statutory bodies while embedding Terrier Spirit values across the team. £35,000-£40,000 FTE, depending on experience, with potential for flexible hours.

Qualifications

• An experienced and inclusive finance professional with strong financial management experience, ideally in the charity sector.
• Ability to promote sound financial control and attention to detail.
• Able to work collaboratively across the Foundation.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day financial management.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
• Provide high-quality financial support to staff, SLT and the Board of Trustees.
• Coordinate financial returns to statutory bodies and funding partners.
• Support good governance through review of policies, risk documentation and working practices.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Finance Manager will take responsibility for day-to-day financial management, monthly management accounts, financial reporting, and high-quality financial support to Huddersfield Town Foundation staff, the Senior Leadership Team and the Board of Trustees. The role will also coordinate financial returns to statutory bodies and funding partners and support good governance through the review of relevant policies, risk documentation and working practices.
