Just like our progress on the track, at Atlassian Williams Racing we are striving to strengthen our high-performance culture across the organisation, including a significant programme of finance transformation. We are looking for a team player with strong attention to detail to drive the finance operations function and build a strong platform for efficient and effective transactional finance processes and systems. This role will manage all aspects of accounts receivable, accounts payable and cash management and work closely with the team to deliver improvement both in transactional finance as well as across the wider finance team.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage external and intercompany accounts receivable and accounts payable including expenses and recharges. Ensuring invoices are issued and processed in a timely manner and accurately accounted for in the ledgers.
  • Manage a team of 5 - 7 employees and support, coach and mentor where needed.
  • Ensure transactions are compliant for withholding tax and VAT implications.
  • Analyse customer and supplier payment trends, identify potential issues (including reaching credit limits), and implement strategies for improving cash flow, reducing outstanding receivables and settling payables in a timely manner, including clear down of historical balances.
  • Ensure accurate and complete documentation of transactions including payments, credits and adjustments.
  • Manage the short-term cash flow forecast and liaise with stakeholders including the finance business partners to ensure accuracy.
  • Supporting with treasury matters including releasing payments, working capital and FX management, maintaining delegations of authority and bank mandates.
  • Responsible for ensuring the month end close process within finance operations runs smoothly and on time. Including balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring reconciling items are resolved in a timely manner including clearing down cash on account.
  • Lead the development and implementation of policies for invoice approval, payment terms, and supplier / vendor management to ensure accurate and efficient processes which are compliant with industry / regulatory standards and driving accountability within the team.
  • Review and streamline workflows to reduce manual work, improve automation, and optimize cash flow management. Collaborating with system architects to design and develop Microsoft Dynamics (ERP) as appropriate to support accurate business process.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including procurement, financial accounting and finance business partnering teams, internal and external auditors, answering and resolving queries promptly.
  • Define the financial operations team strategy. Manage, mentor, and develop a team of high performing financial operations professionals. Fostering a collaborative and results-driven team culture. Accountable for delivery of the teams KPIs and assigned objectives.
  • Ensure understanding of cost cap requirements and identify opportunities to improve optimisation.

Qualifications

  • 5 + years financial operations experience including managerial experience.
  • Proven ability to manage and improve financial processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Problem solving and analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in English and in MS Office (particularly excel).
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high volume environment with tight deadlines.
  • Previous experience with Medius, PowerBI and D365 is beneficial but not essential.
