Position Title: Finance Manager

We are seeking a senior-level professional to join our London-based finance function. This leadership position involves overseeing a team within the client-focused financial reporting division, playing a central role in advancing the growth of our business support services.

Overview of the Role

In this senior leadership role, you’ll guide and develop a team of 3 responsible for delivering robust financial services to a diverse international client base. Your main objective will be to ensure consistent, high-quality outputs while fostering professional development and strong morale within the team.

As a business, we focus on long-term client partnerships by combining local expertise and digital solutions. Our collaborative approach helps clients remain agile in complex environments.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Financial Reporting and Compliance

Prepare and review consolidated and standalone statutory reports under UK GAAP (FRS 102) and IFRS.
Oversee monthly and quarterly management reporting cycles.
Engage with auditors, coordinate audit preparations, and ensure compliance.
Collaborate with tax specialists on filing obligations.
Manage VAT submissions and registration processes.
Ensure up-to-date practices by staying current with evolving accounting regulations.

Client Relationship Management

Act as a senior escalation point for client queries and technical issues.
Build and maintain excellent relationships with both domestic and international clients across sectors such as real estate, energy, technology, and investment.
Attend client board meetings and represent the firm in professional forums.

Team Development

Support staff development through structured performance reviews, training plans, and mentoring.
Participate in the hiring and onboarding process.
Monitor team performance and capacity, adjusting responsibilities as needed.

Commercial Oversight

Review client billing and resource planning to ensure appropriate service charges and profitability.
Work with business development to respond to tenders and prepare proposals.

Strategic Involvement

Represent the firm in meetings with potential clients and partners.
Serve as a Director or senior signatory on client entities where required.
Contribute to strategic planning and service innovation initiatives.

Candidate Profile

Chartered Accountant (ACA/ACCA) with strong technical grounding in IFRS and UK accounting principles.
Substantial experience in preparing consolidated financial statements for complex corporate groups.
Ideally, prior background with a major accountancy firm.
Strong leadership credentials with a collaborative, hands-on mindset.
Effective communicator with a high level of written and spoken English.
